The Story of the Girl with the Red Umbrella
It all started in Paris in 2006, when she worked in a communication agency. There the days were monotonous and my work did not shine for its creativity. One day my bosses came into the office furious (more than usual) because even though it was summer it wouldn't stop raining. Questions about what could be causing such a catastrophe began to flood my head with many ideas.
At the end of the afternoon, when I no longer had much work to do, I began to illustrate in Photoshop, it was something I liked to do. That day I was inspired by the gruesome situation in my office and I thought:
Who is benefiting from the rain? Why hasn't my father risen all summer? Could it be that... someone has kidnapped the sun???
And the answer came: It's all a conspiracy: the umbrella manufacturers have kidnapped the sun.
From that moment of lucidity the illustration you see above on this page was born.
I the daughter of the sun tied to an umbrella going out in search of my father. From that day on, the girl with the umbrella flies high through the skies looking for the clues of the umbrella manufacturers in order to free the sun.
For this reason you will always see a girl tied to a red umbrella in my collages: I am myself flying in surreal worlds, ready to do anything to find answers.
