Lebanese-French, with a degree in fine Arts, Alda was actively immersed in the culture, history and local artistic trends of each of the cities she lived in.
Through her different experiences, in France, Lebanon, the UK & US, she created three different series - The Colors of Derwistan, Ideas fly in Colour & Never falls.
Alda addresses the themes of lightness, singularity, and the emergence of this new "Uniformist" society.
Alda’s Oil and mixed media painting portfolio promotes meeting multicultural people from around the world and loving differences. Alda sees in each difference a new colour to add to her painting palette. She hopes for more cultural exchange, sharing more feelings, more love and mostly, more colourful thought.
Artist statement:
"During a tough period in the whole world, it is important to keep in mind that differences, solidarity & multiculturalism are important for the success of our society. My objective through my paintings is to make the world remember that there is nothing more important than having good intentions with people, embracing differences and spreading love."
