Alejandro Elia is a Professor and Graduate in Visual Arts (UNA - Argentina) and Graduate in Fine Arts (Madrid - Spain) with a vast academic training. He obtained his degree in Restoration of Cultural Assets (1999) with the interest of conserving and maintaining the heritage of Buenos Aires, as well as that of humanity. He attended the workshop of the artist Lewi, Trosolino and Varela Freire but it is together with Margarita Paksa (1992 - 2015) with whom he ventures into Conceptual and Objectual Art. He attends the contemporary art seminars of Rodrigo Alonso and Fabiana Barreda, who are his reference for his degree thesis (2004). Since that same year he has been a researcher in the UNA Incentive Program, participating as a member and then as research director in projects that take the San Pablo Biennial as a field of research as a bastion of new aesthetic guidelines of contemporary art. He holds the Chair of the Sculpture Project Workshop at the UNA. In 1993 he obtained the first prize for Sculpture at the Young Art Biennial in Buenos Aires, among other mentions and distinctions.
