Ali Alışır was born in Istanbul in 1978. In 1966, he started his graphic education, thanks to a scholarship from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Yeditepe University. He got his master degree in photography in Italy, at Florence Accademia Italiana. While he was studying, he focused also on digital editing.
He pays attention to the stress experienced by humans, emphasizing the conflicts and mental state of the human in their inner world. Through his exhibitions, he has exhibited the desperation and helplessness, experienced by the individuals under the bombardment, as well as the virtual and artificial worlds, created against such bombardment.
EXHIBITIONS:
- 2009-2015: “Virtual Bodies”, “Virtual Places”, “Virtual Wars” and “Virtual Landscapes”.
- After 2016: “Cosmos” and “Hybrid Souls”.
Ali Alışır’s works are exhibited on many private and foreign collections including Istanbul Modern Art Museum, Presidential Palace of the Republic of Turkey and 94 embassies.
