José Luis Gómez Perales (Madrid, 1923-Buenafuente del Sistal, Guadalajara, 2008)
Between 1950 and 1970 the work of José Luis Gómez Perales explores color, structural and constructive. From the experimentation in the fifties of a world frequented by curves and stains, a reminder of the Mironian or the work of Paul Klee (constellation of signs, presence of reticles, primary colors), it will slide a decade later towards works of more appearance reticular, more ordered and modular, in which a constant dialogue between the horizontal and the vertical can be guessed.
Also, Gómez Perales will be one of the first creators who dare to introduce mathematical calculations in the composition of plastic works, forming part of the Computing Center of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid between 1969 and 1973.
