Bárbara lives and works in Lisbon.
Holds a BA in Arquitecture (FAUTL, Lisbon), a second BA in Philosophy (FCSH-UNL, Lisbon). In between her two university courses, she studied Drawing and took the Advanced Course in Visual Arts, at AR.CO (Lisbon). Bárbara Assis Pacheco took part in the first edition of the Photography Course of the Gulbenkian Creativity and Artistic Creation Programme (PGCCA), and in the artistic residency O Sítio das Artes at the Modern Art Centre of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon. She makes drawings and takes photographs, and her work has been often exhibited. Bárbara is represented in both private and institutional collections, in Portugal and abroad.
