Camila Simona takes her body and transforms it into a geoid, she makes her skin into an upper mantle and unleashes the search. What is the predominant colour of this soil? What does this soul core experience in its eruptive phase? The so-called magma carries the traces of the most vivid emotions; those that, paradoxically, will become inorganic entities, entities that seem to be lifeless, that are not immortal, but fluctuate, mutate and intertwine. They dress in colour, enrich themselves with texture and leave a scar: a petrified beauty, a hidden treasure within an abstract and chaotic composition that battles, that leaves little oxygen despite the fact that it pretends to show nature and that, like it, has no index either: it does not point, it shows.
The Mineralia series is a search for naked emotion, for her own feeling of emotional ambivalences, she finds in these minerals a certain mystery, paradoxical parallelism in those emotional scars, which require great forces to remove them, to reproduce them and which, once channelled, are fixed as learning, or in this case as matter that survives and has found rest.
