Carméline Cannella lives and works in Lorette, France.
She has held a diploma as a decorator since the 1990s. She started painting at the age of twenty.
Her style has evolved over the years between the studio and her various crafts.
She is self-taught, so her work is distinguished by the use of a variety of techniques and subjects outside of academic principles.
Carméline's imagery focuses on the depiction of women's portraits in which the sense of the sacred overflows the frame through a particular use of light and pigments, as well as the use of gold, which seems to echo the majesty of the genre.
Her previous exhibitions, "!Divine Women!" and "!Vangelo!", defined around this theme, have varied the form and formats between the abstraction of a simple curve, and paintings of a documentary figuration, since inspired by great female figures of history.
"Entre ciel & Mer" is a new series, based on an abstract inspiration, a tribute to nature and a way to sublimate it.
