Céline Cénac is a painter whose DNA is made up of Basque, Sardinian and Italian. Her works are an ode to women. She likes to "give birth" to women ready to face life with their joy, their strength, their resilience, their fragility, their sorrow, their pain... Her colorful, vibrant works reflect her life as a woman and her emotions. Each of them is called "Dame" and named after a first name. The strokes are intuitive, natural and free.
Her studio is located in Amiens, in the Hauts-de-France region of France. She mainly uses acrylics and other techniques such as collage, pencil and charcoal. She is developing the use of ceramics in her paintings and declining them on clay creations.
She exhibited for the first time in 2022, at a gala for Pink October in the fight against breast cancer, at the instigation of organizer Flavie Herbette, who became her friend. She created a unique work entitled "Dame Rose d'Octobre" (Pink Lady of October), which she auctioned off in support of the cause. In early 2023, the Amiens-based charity Centropolis asked her to design the poster for International Women's Rights Day. She donated a work specially designed for the occasion, "Dame pour un monde meilleur" (acrylic on paper - 30x40cm), which was sold at auction for €2,500. She becomes vice-president of the association in March 2023.
An artist committed to women, Céline Cénac is a woman of culture, stage and management. Her real name is Céline Garnier, and she is the director of the Zenith in Amiens.
Roselyne Bachelot dedicates her book "682 jours" to her, and writes "Céline Garnier Cénac, a woman of culture, a fighter AND a painter".
