Claudine Picard is a French artist born in 1949 who lives and works in Sainte Marie, France. She is graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD). Nature is for the artiste an infinite source of inspiration. Her work is experimental research, she is inspired by everyday life through figurative expression as a revisited academicism. Claudine provokes the imagination and the reminiscence of memories, lost and poetic emotions by matching symbolic subjects with inhabited and mysterious objects. These in their immobile presence and the fixity of their stripping induces a fascination. Still life immerses us in an atmosphere where the components chosen by associations of shapes and climates resonate each others. Painting is for the artist the search for an aesthetic emotion. As in the way of naturalists entomologists or botanists, she groupes by themes and materials, elements that make up her paintings.
