Djordje Lj. Savic was born in 1982 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 2008. He is a member of the ULUS group (Association of Fine Arts Artists of Serbia).  He has also worked for about thirty Orthodox churches in Serbia, Macedonia and Germany.

Djordje introduced Byzantine aesthetics into abstraction, combining late Flemish High Gothic with icon painting. Painting church ensembles paved the way for Savić, probably as another vocation and a confirmation of his talent, but on irrational and not only Orthodox grounds. Without betraying the sacred figures and ornaments, he achieved the impossible - painting the original "Byzantine fantasy"
