Gesa Lange (1972 in Tongeren, Belgium) studied illustration and communication design at HAW Hamburg and subsequently free art at Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg Hamburg.
Her drawings with graphite and pencil as well as her embroidered drawings have been shown in numerous exhibitions in Germany and other European countries and is represented in public collections of the city of Katrineholm (Sweden), the Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders, Bergisch Gladbach as well as the artist book collections of the Museum Reina Sofia Madrid, the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and the Weserburg, Museum für moderne Kunst, Bremen.
Since 2011 she has held a professorship for drawing at HAW Hamburg. Gesa Lange lives and works in Hamburg.
