The Munich artist Hagen Wieland was fascinated by the Blue Riders around Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc from an early age and was inspired by the German Expressionists.
His companions at the time, the painter Thomas Popp and the wood sculptor and painter Max Schlegel, laid the foundation for his artistic ambitions in the fields of music, photography and painting.
Many of his paintings were created in the 80s. The latest works can be found here in our exhibition.
Hagen Wieland is known for his strong colors and explosive expression. Almost all techniques of modern art are used.
