Libor Jellúš was born in Most in 1969 and currently resides in Rakovník. His beginnings were marked by pencil drawing, pastels, and crayons. In 2006, he experimented with acrylic paints on canvas, and after two more years, he began to intensively focus on oil painting. His main themes have been and still largely revolve around landscape painting, cities, squares, and structures. He admires historical nooks, favoring the works of old masters, especially Jakub Schikaneder. In his artworks, he strives to convey their emotions, thoughts, and techniques onto the canvas, always leaving a piece of himself in them. He draws inspiration and references, especially from his homeland, partially extending beyond its borders. Jellúš organizes solo exhibitions and also participates in group exhibitions. He is the founder and administrator of the Association of Visual Artists and a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic. His paintings are part of collections in the Czech Republic, as well as internationally, including the USA.
