Lisa Gingles

Lisa Gingles, an Irish visual artist based in Valencia since 1998, was born in Northern Ireland in 1974 and trained in Fine Arts in Ulster. Her work reflects a nomadic life that has led her to live with diverse cultures and traditions. This experience translates into a heterogeneous artistic production, where the mixture of techniques and supports is a constant. Gingles draws inspiration from her travels, memories, folklore, and mythology. Her works, often melancholic and evocative, explore themes such as identity, the passage of time, and transformation.
