Professional photographer, lives and works in Matera. He graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Salento with a thesis on Lucanian working villages in the Basento valley. In 2011, he attended a Master's degree course in Industrial Heritage Management and Enhancement, while not yet 30 years old, he served as Secretary of the Culture Department of the Municipality of Matera. He has been secretary of the Basilicata section of AIPAI since 2009. In his 20 years of activity as a photographer, his most appreciated projects include: the reportage on the Vajont cement factory and the photography series on the former Falck area in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan); several publications in specialised magazines, such as Patrimonio Industriale, with an interview by Rossella Monaco and Mariano Maugeri, journalist for 'Il Sole 24 ORE'; as well as winning several photographic competitions, such as being awarded first prize in the competition Spazi da non perdere promoted by the Fondazione con il Sud. Exhibition projects include: Appunti Post-Apocalittici, curated by Marta Ragozzino, Superintendent of Basilicata's Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage, at Palazzo Lanfranchi, National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art (Matera) and two audio/visual performance installations conceived and curated by Simona Spinella in collaboration with MaterElettrica, a spin-off of the E. Duni Conservatory of Matera, such as: Misereor - La preghiera bussa, il digiuno ottiene, la misericordia riceve, at the rupestrian complex of the Madonna delle Virtù and San Nicola dei Greci in Matera, later replicated in Taranto at the Castello Aragonese as part of the Mysterium Festival, and Domino Revisited, realised on the occasion of the European Night of Museums at the MUSMA - Museum of Contemporary Sculpture in Matera. In Bologna, he curated the set design for the 2 agosto - International Composing Competition, creating a visual performance entitled Risveglio.
