MARIA BOSTRÖM is a Stockholm-based artist. Born in Jakobstad, Finland. She attended artschool in Karis Finland 1984. In 1989 she moved to Hong Kong. The many years spent there – and around the world has colored her personality and creative style. In 1997 Maria returned to Stockholm. She sees her art as channeling – unbound by consciousness – a presence set in motion. Observing the fourth dimensions of reality. It is there – where we dare not explore – that Maria delves deeper. The soul communicating through the brush and magic meets emotions.
2017 Her first solo show “TRINUS” at Amsterdam living Andre Schievink Design center in Stockholm
2018 Maria had another successful Solo show “TEMPERMENT FRAGMENT” in Öregrund.
I2018 Maria took her art one step further reproducing her raw abstract art into a series of unique exclusive limited edition carpets. The successful project “RAW ELEGANCE” at Ahouse Stockholm was in partnership with the Dutch design house Moooi.
2019 Another solo show “MA” A four dimensional way of looking at reality, At NO18 in Stockholm was a huge success and opened up new doors outside Scandinavia.
2020 Maria and Photographer Tina Axelson exhibit their work “INNER” at Allé på Österlen.
2020 Maria is represented by gallery Melefors, where she has a Solo show in November.
2021 Solo show “ZANSHIN” at Wisby galleri in Gotland.
2021 October represented by Melefors at Affordable artfair Stockholm.
2020 Exhibition at Galleri Sjöhästen Nyköping together with Mats Wieslander and Robert Oldergaarden.
2022 Maria is delighted to announce that Amsterdam Living and House of Avinyo will be respresenting her in Barcelona.
