Mauro Molle was born in Rome in 1977. After passing his school-leaving examination at the Alessandro Caravillani senior high art school, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he perfected his study of painting and etching techniques. After completing his academic studies, he passed the entrance examination to the Art School of the Italian State Mint. He also began to work at a long-established art printing company in Rome.
His research focuses on the evolution, and de-formation, of the human figure, the subject of his dissertation at the Academy of Fine Arts. He thus depicts through a merging of traditional anatomical representation and his own abstract view of space.
He began exhibiting in 1998, first in Rome, and later in public and private venues in the rest of Italy, in England, Germany, Belgium and Turkey. In 2018, he was artist-in-residence at MACRO – the Museum of Contemporary Art – in Rome as part of the Atelier programme.
