Meriç Defne Pabuççuoğlu

She was born in Adana/ Turkey in 1975. She graduated from Adana Anadolu High School in 1993 followed by Yıldız Technical University Chemical Engineering in 1997. She is carrying out a career in a multinational company in her professional life. In the meanwhile, she developed a solo career in visual arts which has always been her life time passion. She studied for many years in the workshop of Serpil Danışman - Çöp Adam Atölyesi. She continues to participate in fine art art classes.

She believes that visual art is the natural way of expression and last 14 years working oilpainting on canvas in her studio. Effected by many trends and especially by early 1900´s period, her affection is in abstraction, cubism and contemporary art.

"I see colors as reflections of our souls and emotions. With imagination they are converted into stories and expressions. My stories are usually sembolized with human or geometric figures through a spiritual artistic journey."
