With his collages he tries to explore the depths of his mind and bring to the surface, sometimes unconsciously and sometimes fully consciously, his imagination and experiences. He finds fascinating what most people try to avoid looking at head on, showing that in our own darkness we can find unusual beauty. He seeks this hidden beauty behind the macabre, the grotesque, the bizarre or the sinister, trying to challenge what is conventionally understood as beautiful. His intention is to generate a first impression of rejection towards the image, a visual shock, discomfort, but after this first approach to show a different perspective of beauty and reveal that in the unpleasant, in the disturbing, in the taboos, and ultimately in all that is dark, there is another way of observing the world that is truly beautiful.
