Works by Roma Vaquero Díaz
Her artistic practice investigates corporeality as a dynamic material that is activated in the encounter between gesture, ritual and ecosystem. Through processes that rehearse different layers of production, as a continuity of action, she works with performance, photography, writing and editorial experiences. This making connects memories, imaginaries, somatics and affects, weaving links between the personal, the collective and the environment.
She is interested in inhabiting a continuous artistic practice, which allows us to share, explore and build ways of doing together with other people and in dialogue with what surrounds us.
She is an artist. Master in Combined Artistic Languages (Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Buenos Aires, Argentina.) Degree in Performing Arts (Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.) Arts Teacher in Dance - Corporal Expression (Escuela de Teatro de Junín, Buenos Aires) Since 2008 she has been trained in performance, somatic, photography, video, sound, movement and writing.
She participated in residencies: Manta, Aluminé, Neuquén, Argentina (2024); Curadora, Santa Fe, Argentina (2023); Raíces, Catamarca, Argentina (2022); R.A.R.O. Madrid, Spain (2022); Escuchar la fotografía- Galería Artexarte, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2021); La Flecha, Capitán Sarmiento, Buenos Aires (2020 - 2019); Originario, Cura Malal, Buenos Aires (2018).
She has had the following solo exhibitions: Cuántos cuerpos entran en un cuerpo, curated by Lucía Seijo, Galería Olla Roja, Buenos Aires (2022); No somos territorio de conquista, curated by Margarita García Faure, Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Emilio Pettoruti, La Plata (2019); La Cosahecha, Museo de la ciudad, Pergamino (2012).

In 2020 she published the book Cuántos cuerpos entran en un cuerpo (Editorial Flanbé, 2020).
Since 2017 he has run the platform and archive Mundo Performance.
