Vilen Künnapu (1948) is an architect who began painting professionally only about ten years ago. Like his architecture, Künnapu's art is energetic, eccentric and child-like in its colour palette. He is someone who is not afraid of being different as long as it develops originality. Künnapu strives for the same effect in both art and architecture, namely, trying to create a city that agrees with his individual personality.
