Alexandra Nechita (b. 1985, Romanian American) “Peace Collector” (1998) Limited edition hand pulled color lithograph on Arches paper after the 1997 acrylic painting on canvas.  The work of art is hand signed, dated, and numbered 55/250 in pencil by the artist in the lower margin with the blind stamp of the printer, Mourlot Paris, in the lower left.  The image is 31 x 23 inches, and the piece is encased in a stunning museum quality mat and frame with Plexiglas that measures 51 x 41 inches.

"Many of us collect things.  We collect stamps, or art or music.  We do this with a lot of enthusiasm, excitement, love and for some of us,
ardent passion.  It's that kind of passion and desire we need to cultivate and maintain when it comes to World Peace.  To me keeping World Peace alive is the ultimate collection." --Alexandra Nechita

Alexandra Nechita began painting as a child and in 1995 was invited to work with world-renowned Mourlot Press in Paris where great artists including Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, and Miró had previously been invited to work. She was called the ‘Petite Picasso’ as a child prodigy and her work has been compared to the Cubist work of Picasso due to her use of geometric shapes and to Chagall due to the imaginative and dreamlike qualities of her art.  Nechita continues to work and lives in Los Angeles with her family.
