Antonella Lagana is an Italian artist born in 1945 who lives and works between Florence, Italy & Paris, France. She obtained a degree in literature from the University of Pisa. She then spent a long time frequenting the fascinating artistic milieu of Florence, where she followed free nude classes at the Academy of Fine Arts. In Livorno, she was a pupil of the sculptor Professor Guiggi at the Trossi-Uberti Academy. In Milan, she perfected the techniques of fresco and glass fusion and in Rome, those of etching. She has been painting continuously since 1975 and has started exhibiting since 1993 with numerous solo and group exhibitions in Rome, Florence, Venice, Livorno, Viareggio, San Marino, Paris, Lugano, Brussels, Madrid, Vienna, Japan, New York etc. Great critics have spoken of her, she has obtained important awards in Italy and abroad. She is also a writer and poet and has collaborated with Edouardo De Filippo on the comedy "Simpatia". Her latest collection of poems is called: "Laser".
