Astrid Busch (*1968 in Krefeld, GER) is a Visual artist and photographer based in Berlin. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg and the renowned Berlin-Weißensee School of Art. She was master student of Katharina Grosse, and hold numerous art awards. In her site-specific room installations, Busch combines photographs with a wide variety of materials, from her own images to archive finds. These elements she assembles into multimedia and multilayered productions, creating space-consuming works that look like a mosaic, and yet always remain site-specific. Her works are part of private and public collections such as Hetjens – German Ceramic Museum, Düsseldorf; Art Foundation NRW, Düsseldorf; Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Berlin; Museum of Applied Arts, Gera.
