Barry Yeow started his art journey rather late in his life which is so full of legend. He has been getting notice in recent years by media in Singapore not only because of the talent he is able to show in his artworks that makes him a rising star in the art scene, but also his past life being in prison many times since teenage and was dramatically made reborn under the guidance of 2 mentors who are lecturers in art college and academy in Singapore. His turning point started from 2011 when he got the award of best technique in the Yellow Ribbon Art Competition in Singapore, and few years later in 2016 he became Artisan of the Year which was awarded by Singapore Rotary Club
