Unique artwork by the artist Blvckjep, handmade on 300 gsm paper. The work reinterprets Homer Simpson in a creepy style, on a yellow background with barbed wire we find Homer's head like a zombie emerging from the ground, the color is blue, his expression is very much at odds with his classic image. Instead of the good-natured smile we find an expression absent and distorted because hit by the sun. The Homer Simpson represented is therefore suffering and uncomfortable because it is sunny and being a zombie this bothers him, as is typical of the Creepop style. The work is signed on the back and is accompanied by authentication. The work is not framed.
Giuseppe Pirolo aka Blvckjep is a Neapolitan artist and designer born in 1998. Despite his studies in business administration, he has always had a strong drive towards art :
"I've been drawing since I can remember, I couldn't identify a date, a day when I started".
Young and eclectic, he studied as a self-taught experimenting with various techniques, does not identify with any type of tool, nor material. His favorite subjects are those of Pop culture, we find Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, but also Homer Simpson or Pac-Man, from here part of his review in key "creepy". Pop icons are deformed into grimaces of pain, the ugly and creepy is staged with a colorful dress, happy, but at the same time full of disturbance. He himself calls his style "Creepop," a disarmingly topical vision of our society. Even the drafting of color and stroke are not precise in order to emphasize this duality, this mask, which hides the darkness inherent in each of us. The touch is pungent, but ironic, in a precise and immediate reading of the current condition of every human being.
