Cosmo Laera (Alberobello, Italy, 1962). “His photography uses a dry, respectful language, which delicately alters the colors to make the vision unique, in the differences of time and place. The tiny presences inside the great landscapes are both extras and protagonists at the same time, marking the author's intention to invite us to look, to become, in front of his images, “professional” observers of what surrounds us. The journey takes place slowly, from picture to picture, through a vision that does not allow itself to be aesthetic equilibrium and that at the most allow some framing from above. As if accepting the invitation contained in a well-known reflection by Italo Calvino: "Take life lightly, that lightness is not superficiality but gliding over things from above, not having boulders on your heart", Giovanna Calvenzi.
