Deborah Bigeleisen is an American artist, who graduated at Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York. From 1981 to 1998, she was the founder, the CEO and the Design Director at the Creative Print Center, Inc., Global Textile Print Design Studio, in New York. Throughout her life and her career, she has always looked for new challenges. She worked more than four years on groups of conceptual paintings and then she shifted to be an abstract thinker. Generally, during her life, she has had many serendipitous events impact her art career. For instance, at Art Miami in December 2015, she came across a color-field painting on unprimed canvas by Irene Monat Stern, and she was captivated by everything about the painting, as the big bold forms, how the artist layered the colors, and the texture. Hence, Deborah switched from oil to acrylic paint, consequently changing her paintings process. However, she has always loved working with color and she is still captivated with working on unprimed canvas and she intends to continue experimenting.
