A dancing young man goes into a trance. He will have a catharsis and see glimpses of his monsters and beasts. This piece is part of a 2014 series I painted at the youth centre in my village.
He was born in 1981 and has technical studies in welding and boilermaking, medium level and is self-taught. When he was 17 years old he fell ill and it was then that he discovered writing and drawing. He was already drawing in his childhood, but that was different. In both writing and drawing, intuitively, he just started doing the first thing that came to his mind spontaneously, and he felt that he was good at it and enjoyed doing it. After filling about ten notebooks he began to write and took it seriously. In drawing he got to know ink and nib, after having several notebooks with drawings made with birolos. He was in the studio of Resano, a painter from Pamplona, who had an immense library of art books, and who taught him to draw and showed him books and books. He copied three small canvases of some of the authors of the books. He did not know if one of them was Munch, and automatically set to work on his own work.
