Ernesto Yerena (Mexican-American, b. 1987, El Centro, CA) “Bloom” (2019)  Limited edition color screen print on crème Speckle Tone Archival Paper, hand signed by the artist.  The sheet measures 24 x 18 inches; is numbered 5/200 in pencil in the lower left and signed/dated in pencil in the lower right by the artist.   The work of art has been double matted in coordinating colors and placed in a thin black frame measuring 30.25 x 24.25 inches.

Ernesto Yerena Montejano uses his cross-national upbringing and graphic design practice to bring attention to the issues faced by Indigenous and Brown people. He produces political and social justice images using the bright colors that draw inspiration from California's psychedelic art, as well as the bright colors and geometric aesthetic of Native American and Mexican cultures.  Yerena has collaborated on many provoking projects that include artists such as Zack de la Rocha, Shepard Fairey, Manu Chao, Ana Tijoux, Philip Lumbang, Jaque Fragua, Diane Ovalle, Chuck D, and Mochilla.  Numerous key galleries and museums such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum have featured Ernesto Yerena's work.
