Limited-edition lithograph in three colors, signed in pencil in the lower right and numbered 198/250 in the lower left. The image is 27 x 19.25 inches and with full margins and framing, the work of art measures 40.5 x 32.75 inches. Depicted is an example of Gallo’s mildly erotic theme: an unseeing woman with long, flowing waves of red hair posing in a suggestive manner. Note that there is some mild discoloration, otherwise, the work appears in good condition. (Not examined outside the frame.)
Frank Gallo was an artist, teacher, and sculptor who worked primarily with the human form, as an expression of his interest in the beauty of the female figure. Examples of his work are in the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C. and the Los Angeles County Art Museum.
