Jane Wooster Scott, “Five White Geese” (2002) is a limited-edition lithograph on paper that measures approximately 16" x 14" (with border), 14" x 11" (image). It is hand-signed by the American artist and numbered (AP 27/175) from a limited edition of 970. With mat and frame, the piece measures 20” x 16.” The renowned artist was raised in Pennsylvania and would take photos of her surroundings and then recreate them on canvas in her own folk-art style. Her quaint art captures the 'small-town' experience of the United States and American culture. “Five White Geese” is from the Four Seasons Oval Suite and depicts an autumnal scene in the country featuring a barn, pumpkins, sheep, and of course, the five white geese. People on a hayride in a horse drawn carriage are passing by enjoying the scenery.
