Kota Ezawa, (1969 Cologne, studied with Nam June Paik) a German-Japanese artist living in San Francisco and Berlin reworks mostly found images from popular culture, film and art history by reducing them to flat digital images. This is the result of a preoccupation with human visual and memory behavior and their influence on the viewer. The way in which images influence our experience and shape our memory is Kota Ezawa's main intention with regard to his art. His work is interdisciplinary and finds its expression in different media.
