LEK (b. 1971, France) “French Kiss - Musee En Herbe” (2020) Mixed media technique on wood measuring 16 x 32 inches by one of the first generation of Parisian street artists. The image combines mediums, lines, graphic shapes, colors, patterns and architecture. The verso is inscribed with LEK’s signature symbols, the number, the title, the name of the institution this piece was created for and donated to (Le Musee En Herbe) in February 2020, and the name of the Paris street art graffiti crew of which LEK is a member (French Kiss).
LEK is known as the epochal figure of French graffiti/street art in the 1990’s.
