Marco Querin was born in 1978 and lived in his city of birth, Milan, until the age of nineteen, when he moved with his family to Chicago for a long and important period of his life. It was in Chicago that he began his artistic endeavours, first experimenting with the use of various natural materials such as poppy seeds, cinnamon powder, saffron, and vanilla tea, eventually evolving to the exclusive use of wool, cotton, metal wire and plastics.
