Born in 1980, Maude Ovize is a French artist, living and working in Lyon. Graduate of fine arts from Saint Etienne. She moved to Lyon in 2005 and has been working on the issue of motif in painting since then. She is part of a collective of artists working in a workshop on the slopes of the Croix Rousse, the Mecca of Lyon creation. In her journey around the question of motif, Maude Ovize is currently working on a series devoted to water in which she explores all aspects: sensation, material, light, color.
