Rosalba Ruzzier was born in Trieste. She began to paint using different pictorial and graphic techniques, while studying at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice. She continued her formal research attending other schools and studying under various masters.
She made many personal exhibitions, gaining national and international mentions and acknowledgements.
Her works were exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris, at the National Museum of Villa Pisani in Stra at the 55th Biennale di Venezia, at the Casa dei Carraresi in Treviso, as well in London and Hamburg.
The artist is present in private collections in Italy, France, United States, Australia, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
She lives and works in Trieste.
The pictorial language of Ruzzier is characterized by the abstract expressionist poetics, and her rigorous painting style strongly focuses on composition.
The series of works here presented was born from a research on landscape while travelling by train.
The images which the artist synthesises in these works, made with mixed technique, were inspired by her numerous rail travels to Venice. Her biography, her experience and her long process of study, here are elegantly fused.
