About the ‘Cardboard Art’ Series:
It was in the year 2010 that while packing one of his paintings, Sanjay Dhawan noticed the ridges and texture of the corrugated cardboard. He began to experiment with the medium, exploring the many ways in which it can be used creatively. The initial results convinced him that this is the medium which will not only challenge his potential as a creative artist but also be conducive enough to express his feelings and play around with thematic concepts and in the process create something new and unique. Dhawan has created each artwork by painstakingly putting together about 50 to 150 pieces of cardboard to form a collage and some several components to make a 3D assemblage.

1964 , India

Born in 1964, Sanjay started painting at the age of 7. He soon realized his passion for art and also won many awards and contests at various levels. He held his first solo exhibition titled 'Rainbow' in 2004 in Chandigarh and also participated in many group shows in Ambala, Chandigarh and Delhi in the following years.

Being a self taught artist, Sanjay enjoys the liberty to experiment with various mediums & techniques and in the process feels free to express his vision that comes from his soul. His style and use of colors in abstract form is pure and vibrant which generate similar emotions on the viewer as he experienced while creating his art. Sanjay has clients in USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
