Though she is known for gracing the catwalks of major fashion houses over a career spanning 15 years, Sasha Pivavrova is first and foremost an artist. Creating has always been a part of her life, from making comic books as a child to experimenting with large-scale art on Moscow walls during her teenage years.
As artist in resident for the 18th edition of P/CAS - Paris Contemporary Art Show - and represented by House of the Nobleman, Sasha is pleased to present a series of graphic works which have become her trademark. From large-scale painted canvases to plexi-mounted drawings, each piece is a glimpse into her private world and a perfect example of her free-form way of applying brush to surface. It is on these surfaces that a fantasy world drawn from everyday life shines though - in these instances, feminine and alluring figures with big eyes and stretched proportions that are at once poetic and lyrical.
