Wayne Ensrud (b. 1934, USA) “New Ties” (1989) is a 24 x 20-inch acrylic painting on canvas by the well-known and multi-talented painter, art director, animator, and art teacher. It Is an original work that is hand signed in the lower left. According to the artist, 'Emblazoned bold shapes fill the foreground of this painting with an array of vibrant ties. Metallic silver indicates the shape of the table upon which a whimsical and eclectic mix of patterns, shapes and vivid colors combine into a balanced synthesis on a background of radiant magenta.' Ensrud’s still life is harmonious, balanced, and lively.
Wayne Ensrud is an internationally known and acclaimed artist who has had over 60 exhibitions in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Japan. He recalls that this painting was one of several florals and land/seascapes that were exhibited on a rotating basis at the Louis Aronow Gallery in San Francisco in 1999.

He carried his easel, canvas and paints to a particular location, at times painting from day into evening.
