Karry Hon (she/her) is a Hong Kong visual artist specializing in punch needling and hand embroidery. Hon searches for discourse and harmony between Hong Kong and international art practices, between art and culture, and between art and diverse disciplines. Outside of the studio, she has training experience in administrative tasks, archive management, art sales, exhibition and event production in contemporary art galleries and organizations.

Karry Hon attempts to create works of art that function as cultural bridges engraved with silhouettes alongside experimental and interdisciplinary trajectories. Hon’s visual approach moves through her identity, home, community and
world. She searches for body and object relationships while making links between domestic signs and psychotherapy. Their associations have become images of herself, acting as a shield against the complexities of the outside world.
