Vanessa Barragão is a Portuguese artist whose passion for the environment led her to embark on a remarkable journey in the world of textile art. From an early age, she discovered a passion for textiles and crafts, laying the foundations for a unique artistic career that harmoniously combines art and sustainability.

Barragão began experimenting with textile waste, mainly wool fibers, and, through an organic process, developed the textile installations that define her work today. Recognized for her talent, Barragão has collaborated with renowned organizations.

In 2024, one of her works was selected as a gift from Portugal to the United Nations and has since become part of the permanent collection at the UN headquarters in New York.
