The legendary architect I. M. Pei, recently disappeared at the age of 102, besides having left magnificent architectural monuments to posterity, also accumulated an enviable fine art collection. To increase the prestige of this beautiful collection the energy and passion through which Pei and his wife Eileen (1920–2014) have discovered the art world and its protagonists. The auctions—which will be held in Paris (September 13–17), Hong Kong (October 3–6), Los Angeles (October 15–17), and New York (November 1–13)—will feature artwork by Barnett Newman, Zao Wou-ki, Jean Dubuffet, and Henry Moore, among others.
