Est_Art Gallery is delighted to announce the eagerly anticipated third edition of WHITE BALANCE, a photography exhibition that aims to celebrate the vast range of techniques and versatility of this captivating discipline. Set to coincide with the renowned month-long event, PhotoEspaña, the exhibition will feature an array of artists, themes, and activities, promising an immersive and enriching experience for photography enthusiasts and the general public alike.
Taking place from May 25th to July 29th, the exhibition will transform the expansive 1,700 m2 space within the industrial confines of the EST_ART building. With an impressive lineup of 18 artists, including PIC.A and AFSSR, WHITE BALANCE will present an eclectic mix of works showcasing various techniques such as pinhole, cyanotype, analogue and digital photography, black and white, color, and collage, among others. From captivating portraits to mesmerizing landscapes, from thought-provoking documentaries to abstract and minimalist compositions, the exhibition will encapsulate the diversity and creativity within contemporary photography.
One of the highlights of WHITE BALANCE is the highly anticipated Photobook Fair, scheduled for June 2nd and 3rd. The fair aims to bring together photographers, publishers, magazines, schools, associations, and workshops, creating a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences. This event not only serves as a meeting point for industry professionals but also provides an opportunity for the public to engage with the photographic community, explore new works, and support the dissemination and sale of photobooks.
In addition to the exhibition and the Photobook Fair, Est_Art Gallery has curated a series of engaging events and activities that will run alongside the exhibition from May 25th to July 29th. The opening event on May 25th will be a celebration with Dandee Dj, cocktails, and an opportunity to meet the talented artists behind the works.
On June 17th, participants can unleash their creativity in a collage workshop led by Adriana Collage (@adricollage), providing a hands-on experience to delve into the art of combining different elements to create visually striking compositions. Later that day, attendees can indulge in a screening of short films centered around photography, followed by a roundtable discussion with "The Short Filmmaker," providing unique insights into the intersection of photography and the cinematic world.
With WHITE BALANCE, Est_Art Gallery continues its commitment to showcase the multifaceted nature of photography. By bringing together a diverse group of artists, the exhibition aims to inspire dialogue, foster artistic exchange, and celebrate the profound impact of photography in contemporary art and culture.
