Through our Eyes: Heesen 50m

For the refined interiors of M/Y ALP, the 50-meter superyacht built by Heesen Yachts, Kooness Art Consulting was entrusted with the curation and integration of a bespoke art selection that would enhance the vessel’s contemporary elegance while reflecting its maritime spirit.

Designed by renowned yacht designer Cristiano Gatto, M/Y ALP presents a harmonious interplay of soft architectural curves, panoramic windows, and a sophisticated palette of neutral tones enriched by deep navy accents. Our role was to complement this vision with a carefully curated selection of abstract artworks in blue tonalities, enriched with subtle golden details, echoing both the surrounding seascape and the yacht’s refined material finishes.

The interiors of M/Y ALP are characterized by fluid forms and an abundance of natural light. Expansive windows frame uninterrupted ocean views, allowing the sea itself to become part of the décor. In response to this setting, Kooness Art Consulting selected abstract compositions inspired by aerial perspectives of water and organic coastal formations.

The blue hues, ranging from deep ultramarine to soft aquamarine, create a visual continuity between interior and exterior, enhancing the immersive maritime atmosphere. Golden accents were introduced within the artworks to subtly reflect the warm lighting elements and refined metallic finishes found throughout the yacht’s interior architecture.

Positioned strategically within the main salon and lounge areas, the artworks serve as focal points without overwhelming the minimalist design language. Their organic shapes and textured surfaces resonate with the curved furnishings, including the sculptural sofas and custom tables, reinforcing the sense of movement and fluidity that defines the yacht’s interior concept.

The golden details embedded in the abstract surfaces introduce a layer of understated luxury, catching the light as it shifts throughout the day. This interplay of light, texture, and color elevates the spatial experience, offering guests a refined yet emotionally engaging environment.

At Kooness Art Consulting, our approach goes beyond decoration, it is about creating a dialogue between art, architecture, and context. For M/Y ALP, this meant crafting a cohesive artistic narrative that celebrates the essence of the sea while aligning seamlessly with Cristiano Gatto’s sophisticated interior design.

The result is an atmosphere where contemporary abstract art enhances the yacht’s identity, reinforcing its serene, luminous character while adding depth, movement, and a distinctive cultural touch. Through the integration of blue-toned artworks with delicate golden details, Kooness Art Consulting has contributed to shaping an onboard experience defined by harmony, refinement, and timeless elegance.
